INFLATION AND ECONOMIC GROWTH STRUCTURAL MODEL OF WEST KALIMANTAN REGION
Asbstract
The aim of this research are showed simple econometric model about regional economic which can explained the factors that effected inflation and economic growth, and general description about Kalimantan Barat economic. Time series data form 1992 – 2005 attained in this research. Simple structural model used to estimate the factors that effected economic growth and inflation.
There is a positive effect between PDRB and inflation. Inflation and credit have positive effect to PDRB, but government expenditure has no effect to PDRB. Economic growth has significantly effect to inflation, but credit from bank is deflationary. For that, bank should no to be rigid in the way to give credits, because growth of credits will push the economic growth. The province government must repaired the budget composition, with added development expenditure over routine to push the economic growth of Kalimantan Barat
